Here are a few projects that I have created from videos of my adventures abroad to PowerPoint presentations from group projects. Enjoy!
CRAFT BEER CULTURE
For my Consumer Behavior class, my group conducted a study on the craft beer subculture in San Diego. We presented to executives from the Gulls and pitched a collaboration between the Gulls and Ballast Point.
WHATSAPP ANALYSIS
In my Marketing Research class, I created a presentation on WhatsApp that analyzed the popularity of the app both abroad and in the United States. My group utilized SPSS Statistics to collect and analyze data.
DSP RECRUITMENT
As the head of marketing for my business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, I created numerous marketing materials for recruitment. This flyer was posted throughout our campus and used on social media for further outreach.
GREAT WIDE OPEN
During my internship at the Sisyphus Corporation, I helped create a marketing campaign for Jared Leto's Great Wide Open climbing documentary series. For this project, I utilized Photoshop.
ALBUM RELEASE TRENDS
At the Sisyphus Corporation, I compiled a binder of album release trends to help with the promotion for the new Thirty Seconds To Mars album coming in 2017. I focused on album releases from recent years.
G-EAZY INTERVIEW
For this USDtv interview, I was in charge of contacting the artist's management team, interviewing the artist at his show, and editing the final content to create an interview for the USD audience and the artist's fans.
STUDY ABROAD BLOG
During the fall semester of 2015, I studied abroad at Queen Mary University of London. I created and updated a blog using Wordpress to update family and friends from back home with pictures and videos of travels.
During my time abroad, I visited ten different countries and filmed my adventures. I created new content every two weeks and posted my videos to my Vimeo account. I edited my videos with iMovie and Final Cut Pro.

For my sorority's 2017 new member recruitment, I created our sisterhood video to show all of the activities our members have been involved in this past year. I compiled clips sent in by members to create the video.

Hello, my name is Lauren Sykes and I am a recent graduate from the University of San Diego and have completed a Bachelor in Business Administration specializing in Marketing. I am interested in pursuing a career working on the business side of the entertainment or technology industry as well as marketing and sales. I have had internships at a range of companies from Bandsintown to working with Thirty Seconds To Mars and Jared Leto at the Sisyphus Corporation to Allion USA Engineering Services. Throughout my years at USD, I have contributed much of my time to leadership roles within Kappa Alpha Theta, Delta Sigma Pi, and USDtv.
I am incredibly passionate about music and can be found spending my time making music playlists or editing videos of my travels. I consider myself an innovator as I constantly look to improve both myself and the projects I work on both in school and at my job experiences. I am currently looking for jobs in the greater New York City or Los Angeles areas for after I graduate in May 2017. My time as a student in London taught me how to interact with people from all parts of the world and helped me mature into the confident, young professional I am today.
